AI reputation management: correct what AI tells your customers
What is AI reputation management?
AI reputation management means making sure AI assistants describe your business correctly when customers ask. Sophyx does it as part of its Results-as-a-Service for AI traffic and organic marketing: it finds the answers that leave you out or get you wrong, publishes your own facts on pages AI crawlers read every week, and checks the answers again.
A wrong answer about your hours, prices or services sends the customer to someone else. Sophyx puts your own account of your business where AI assistants look, so the answer has the right facts to repeat.
About 30 minutes to set up and about an hour a month to run.
Can you change what ChatGPT says about your business?
Yes, by changing what it finds. Assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini search the web before they answer, then repeat what the pages they find say about you. Nobody retrains the model. When clear, correct pages about your business are easy to find, the assistant has your own account to repeat.
Three things stay up to the assistant: which page it picks, how it words the answer, and how quickly it refreshes. Anyone who promises a fixed answer is guessing. What Sophyx can do is make sure your facts are correct and easy for an assistant to read, then check what the answer says.
How does Sophyx correct a wrong answer?
Sophyx asks the questions your customers ask, finds the answers that leave you out or get you wrong, writes the correction from your own facts, publishes it where AI crawlers read, and asks again. You read every answer as text.
We ask what customers ask
Your customers' questions, without your name in them, on ChatGPT and Gemini, including Google AI Overviews. Every answer is saved as text.
We mark what is missing or wrong
Answers that leave you out, name a competitor instead, or state a wrong fact about you, such as old hours or a service you stopped offering.
We publish the correction
Articles and FAQs written from your own facts, on a site Sophyx hosts at a sophyx.app address or a subdomain of yours. Your current website is not touched.
We ask again
The same questions, re-checked on a schedule, so you can read what each answer says now and what it cited.
Do AI assistants actually read the pages?
Yes, every week. Since logging began on 28 July 2026, AI crawlers fetched pages on 7 AI Guide sites 3,092 times in 10 weeks, and at least 5 of the 7 were fetched every week. Of the 7 sites, 3 are run by Sophyx, and the totals include them.

Week starting, 2026
AI crawlers fetched these pages in every one of the 10 weeks: 3,092 fetches in total, between 113 and 556 a week, with no steady rise or fall. At least 5 of the 7 sites were fetched every week.
Dashed columns are part weeks of 6 days: logging began on 28 July 2026, and the last week runs to 3 October. One day, 2 August 2026, is left out because of a burst we could not explain.

Half of what they fetched were articles (51%) and more than a third were FAQs (37%), the two kinds of page Sophyx writes for you. The home page was 7%. That split covers 13 August to 3 October 2026, 2,368 fetches.
A fetch is the first step. It shows the pages are being read; it does not prove an assistant used one in an answer. That is what the re-checks are for.
What does AI visibility measure, part by part?
AI visibility is whether AI assistants name your business, and how they describe it. One number hides what to do about it. Sophyx reads each answer in 6 parts, and each part points to a different fix, so two businesses with the same score can need opposite work.
Named in the answer
- What it measures
- Whether the answer names your business at all, for a question a customer asks without your name in it.
- A poor reading means
- The assistant found nothing about you that answers that question.
- What to do next
- Publish a page that answers that exact question in plain words, with your name, your service and your area in the first lines.
Place in the list
- What it measures
- Where you come among the businesses the answer names: first, third, or last.
- A poor reading means
- You are named, but after others. The assistant has clearer facts about them, or sees them repeated in more places.
- What to do next
- State the things customers compare on, such as services, prices, area and hours, and make them match everywhere you are listed. Many voices, one story.
Who is named instead
- What it measures
- Every other business the answer names, and how often each one comes up across your questions.
- A poor reading means
- The same competitor keeps showing up in answers that leave you out.
- What to do next
- Read the pages the answer cites for them, then answer the same questions on your own pages with your own facts.
What it says about you
- What it measures
- Whether the answer describes you in a positive, neutral or negative way, and the reason, in its own words.
- A poor reading means
- A hedge, a warning or a wrong fact, such as old hours or a service you stopped offering.
- What to do next
- Correct the fact where the assistant reads it: publish the right version, and update the old listing the answer was built on.
Linked to your website
- What it measures
- Whether the answer links to your site or cites one of your pages as a source.
- A poor reading means
- The assistant knows you, but describes you from other people's pages.
- What to do next
- Give it a page of your own worth citing: one question per page, answered first, and labelled for machines with structured data (code that tells a machine what each fact means).
Pages it read
- What it measures
- Every page the answer cites, split into yours, your competitors' and everyone else's.
- A poor reading means
- Directories, forums and competitors shape the answer more than you do.
- What to do next
- Fix the cited pages you can edit first, such as your directory listings. Then publish your own page on the question.
We track how you appear in AI answers on ChatGPT and on Gemini, including Google AI Overviews, up to 30 prompts per cycle.
What happens once AI assistants start sending people?
Corrected answers come first. Visits come after: a customer asks, the answer names you and links to you, and they arrive on your site. That visit is the result you pay for, and it is what the Sophyx guarantee is written around.
The guarantee
Make all the connections, publish the generated files and ship the content we write. If no major AI assistant has sent you measured traffic within 7 to 10 days, we keep working at no cost.
This page does not chart visits from AI assistants yet. The referral record we can stand behind starts on 21 September 2026, which is too short to call. When there are enough weeks to show, that chart goes next to the crawler one.
